A little while ago, my family went to St. George for my clogging competition. It was a lot of fun. This is the story. So, first, my dad came and got me and my brothers out of school. Then, we began our trip. It was a LONG drive. It seemed like it took FOREVER!!! But, I did like watching as red rock would appear more and more. Anyway, we FINALLY got to our hotel. I got my costume and makeup on. Then we went straight to the competition. I was going to do four solos and one team dance. I was very nervous and excited when I got there. So, we got into our lines to go onstage. I did my solos first. Then, we went to lunch. I think we went to Wendy's, but I'm not sure. Then, we went back to the competition. I checked my scores. This is what I got: Line: 1st, Show: 1st, Percussion: 1st, Traditional: 1st! I was SO excited! Then, we went back to the hotel. I relaxed for a little bit. Then, we went swimming in the hotel's pool. It was awesome! We were staying at the Lexington Hotel and they had an awesome pool that was half inside and half outside. We swam for a long time. Then went back to the hotel room and went to sleep. I was SO tired. I slept like a rock. The next day, we went lizard hunting. My dad drove us
to a really rocky area. He said it was perfect for catching lizards.
He was right. We ended up catching a lizard. We named him Max. He was
so cute. We took really good care of him. But, my mom didn't
approve. We were mad. She said before we left to go home, we would
have to let him free. :( But, we cheered ourselves up by going to see a movie. We went to see The Lorax. It was really good. Then, we went home and went to sleep. The next day, we had to leave. :( We were so sad because that meant we had to let Max go. So we let him go outside of the hotel. But, we caught two more lizards on the way home when we stopped. Then, we went home. It felt so good to be home.
P.S. We got to miss school on Friday because of the trip. Huh, Kassee?

Random Pics
This is my house right after we bought it. We still had the "For Sale" sign up then, and we used to have that fountain in our yard but we got rid of it because my parents didn't like it.
This is my mom, Tyler, Derek, and me right after Derek was born. Tyler and I got some stickers that said "Siblings are special."
This is Derek (left), Dad (middle) and me (right) when we lived in New Hampshire.

Our Family Trip to Moab
This June, my family and I went up to Moab, Utah. This is how our trip went. First, we drove up to Manti, Utah, to meet my Uncle, Richard, and my Aunt, Wren with their 2 kids, Kinley and Logan. We met them at our hotel. While we were at the hotel, we also met my Aunt Holly and Uncle Rob and their 5 kids and my Grandma and Grandpa Martin. What we did when we got to Manti: we played in our hotels with our cousins. I mostly like to play with my cousin, Erika. We played in our hotel rooms together until the Manti Pageant started. Then we walked up the street to the Manti Temple, where the pageant would be held. On the way, there were people selling things. Holly bought some chocolate strawberries that were THE BOMB. We ate them while we waited for the pageant to start. When the pageant FINALLY started, we watched as they put on a wonderful show. When the show finally ended, we all stood up. This is what Ben (,my brother) said when it was over REALLY loudly: "Yes! It's over. That show was SO boring!" Pretty much everyone could hear him. I was cracking up.

Anyway, when it was over, we all went back to the hotel (/motel). Erika and I wanted to have a sleepover but our parents said no. We were pretty bummed out. But, we were so tired that we went right to sleep.
The next day, we went to this really cute restaurant right across the parking lot. It was the coolest place EVER!
Then, we started our long drive up to Moab. But, when we got there, it was TOTALLY worth the drive. The only problem was that we had to bring my dog, Jimmer and the hotel everyone else was staying in didn't allow pets. We had to go to a different hotel down the street that allowed pets.
A little bit later, we went up to some small arches. They were GORGEOUS! Here is The Elephant arch.

Jacob
This is Jacob at the hospital. He is so precious.
This is Jacob when he was coming home from the hospital. He was born the day before Easter, so we had to celebrate Easter a little bit late that year, but it was worth it! :)
This is Jacob for the first time in his HUGE car seat. He was sooo tiny.
This is Jacob and my mom when Jacob was two days old. They were both still in the hospital but they were about to come home that very day.
This is all of us kids with Jacob after he had come home from the hospital.
This is me and Jacob at the hospital. He just melts my heart. He is so cute!!
I know Jacob is already 1 1/2 and still just as cute but, I just can't help looking back to when he was so little and fragile. It makes me sad looking at these pictures from April, 2010. He is getting so big.
Here is a recent pic of him so you can see what I mean.

Wonders of Water Art Contest
One Friday at school,I was having art class and my art teacher said that my grade was going to have an art contest and the theme was "Wonders of Water." You could use anything that has to do with art including glitter glue, beads, colored paper, etc. You know me, I wanted to do the art contest. I started with a picture of the ocean. When I got home I told my mom and a couple days later we went to the craft store and got some art supplies. My mom got the idea to do a double meaning picture. She said I could do a picture of a girl wondering about water and the wonderful things water can do for us. I decided that was a pretty good idea. I started sketching the first part and my little brother, Ben drew on it! (The same thing happened when my mom was planning my little brother, Derek's Spongebob Squarepants birthday party. My mom was drawing squidward and Ben drew all over it!) I was so sad and mad. I had to START ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started over and sketched the beginning (AGAIN.) Then colored it in w/ marker and crayon. Then I put on beads and glitter. I was done! I worked SOOO hard on it and was glad I was done. It took a couple of days but was worth it. A couple days later, my teacher came up to me and told me that I had WON out of the whole school!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was SOOO glad. I got a paper that told me that I get a savings bond of $150, get a trophy, get to go to a banquet, and get a calander with my picture on it! I was amazed about how much stuff I get. The banquet is on April 30,2011. I can't wait! I liked telling you about the contest, but now I have to go. Bye!
